NIFT offers BACHELOR PROGRAMMES (B.FTech.)– TECHNOLOGY, a four year course in Apparel Production
Apparel Production programme is offered at NIFT Centres in Bengaluru, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Kangra, Jodhpur and Bhubaneswar (total seats 518)

NIFT BFTECH Eligibility:
Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed age and educational qualification criteria for the concerned programme can apply.

NIFT Qualifying Age: Maximum age should be 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories.

Educational qualification for NIFT Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production ) (B.FTech) Programme
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR 3 or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB).

NIFT BFTECH ENTRANCE EXAMINATION : 

Based on the choice, all NIFT BFTECH eligible candidates will have to appear for a written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The NIFT BFTECH written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.

Candidates should reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination. 

THE NIFT BFTECH EXAMINATION PROCESS:
For candidates to the NIFT BFTECH UG Fashion Technology programme, the selection process comprises a written examination comprising of a General Ability Test (GAT)

The result of the NIFT BFTECH entrance examination will be displayed on the NIFT website

For NIFT B.F.Tech., GAT will be the final test for selection.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the NIFT BFTECH eligibility criteria for admission. Their admission at all the stages of the examination for which they are admitted by NIFT viz. Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be) will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Test, Situation Test, Group Discussion and Interview (as the case may be), it is found that candidate does not fulfill any eligibility criteria, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference. NIFT shall not be liable for any consequences on account of such cancellations.   

LIST OF NIFT BFTECH EXAMINATION CENTRES:
A LAN based CBT examination for NIFT BFTECH Programmes will be conducted on 05 February 2023 (Sunday) at 32 cities. 

The candidate may select only ONE city for the examination on 05 February 2023 (Sunday). No request for change in examination center will be entertained at any stage.

NIFT BFTECH ADMIT CARDS:
Entry to the Examination Centre will be allowed with NIFT Exam admit cards only.
On the basis of information given in the NIFT Exam Application Forms, Admit Cards of provisionally eligible candidates will be available for download from
www.nift.ac.in
or
https://nift.ac.in/admission from Third week of January, 2023 onwards.
nift Admit cards will not be sent by post.
Candidates are advised to regularly check NIFT website for updates.
Admit Cards, Results and Counselling Schedule will be available on NIFT’s website only.  No separate communication will be sent by post.

NIFT BFTECH APPLICATION FEE:  has to be paid through online payment gateway or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favour of “NIFT HO” payable at New Delhi.
Non-Refundable Fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category: Rs.3000/- through payment gateway.
Non-Refundable Fee for SC/ ST/ PWD Category: Rs.1500/- through payment gateway.
